According to rumors, deliveries of the models should begin in early 2025. However, the company has not yet announced any official details.

Mahindra plans to launch the five SUVs in the 'Born Electric' range in India. The deadline was set for 2026. It's been quite a while since the company worked on the project. It has now been announced that BE.05 is expected to be the first to emerge from cover sometime in November 2024.

If you believe the rumors, deliveries of the models should begin in early 2025. It is not yet known whether the company will announce the pricing details at the unveiling event.

Platform and powertrain

Mahindra's upcoming offering will be based on the INGLO platform, which leverages Volkswagen's MEB architecture component. The model is expected to be offered in three powertrain variants, including both a rear-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive option. The former is said to be able to do a 0-100km/h sprint in just 7.6 seconds, while the latter is expected to be significantly faster as it could do the same in 5 seconds.

Battery and range

When it comes to the battery setup, customers can expect 79kWh and 82kWh, with a maximum range of around 586km on a single charge. Once officially launched, it will give tough competition to some luxury offerings in the country. The list includes Mercedes EQS, Tesla Model Y and Volvo C40. This somehow suggests that the car could offer impressive performance and a comfortable driving experience.

It was also reported that Mahindra is also working on manufacturing LFP. It will be used in future electric models.
