Man is accused of stealing over $1,000 from a Fort Myers smoke shop

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is searching for a man accused of stealing about $1,000 from a Fort Myers smoke shop that doubles as LaRiche's Barber Studio. Fort Myers Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in the video above. Store owner Derek LaRiche said the thief smashed the store's lower front window with a hammer, crawled through and went straight to the register, withdrew $900 and then grabbed a few other items. “A little hurt, I mean, helpless at this point.” “The damage is already done,” LaRiche said. At approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, the unknown man broke into the smoke shop on Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers and stole over $1,000 worth of products. LaRiche said he doesn't think the guy in the security video acted alone. “There were two or three people because one had broken in, another was outside watching, and then there was a woman,” LaRiche said. Fort Myers Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in the video above.

On Saturday, September 21st, the unidentified man broke into the smoke shop on Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers around 1 a.m. and stole over $1,000 worth of products.

LaRiche said he doesn't believe the guy in the security video acted alone.
