Pamela Dorman books

Richard Osman is the author of the popular Thursday Murder Club book series. However, despite the success of this project, Osman said he wanted to spread his wings with a fresh palette and a new cast of characters. His new novel, We solve murdersfollows a trio of detectives as they try to outwit a supervillain. On today's episode, Osman talks to NPR's Scott Simon about how he originally planned to make the story about a crime-solving duo rather than a trio. They also discuss Osman's interest in writing about topics such as fame, people we may underestimate, and evil people who aren't always evil.
