Joplin Police Pursuit Ends in Accident, Two People Wanted on Arrest Warrants | Joplin News First

UPDATE: Captain Will Davis tells us that both people in the car have felony warrants sought. The male driver, Dakota Bell, had fled police at least twice in recent weeks. He is wanted for assault and drug offenses. Charges filed in connection with Wednesday's pursuit include felony counts of felony eluding, Felony DWI, No DL and others. Details about the female are expected to be announced on Thursday.

JOPILN, Mo. (KOAM) – Shortly after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Joplin police initiated a felony car stop where the wanted person fled in a black car.

The pursuit ended at 20th and Connecticut when a T-bone collision occurred involving another vehicle.

The driver of the uninvolved vehicle was not injured.

We were informed that the two people wanted on a criminal warrant were transported to a hospital in the area under police guard. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
