Tributes after death of 'beloved' man, 56

Tributes have been paid to a “loved” North Yorkshire man whose death sparked a police investigation.

North Yorkshire Police said two men have been charged with murder following the incident at a flat in Strawberry Dale, Harrogate, on Sunday (September 29).

Police announced that the alleged victim was 56-year-old Paul Tillet.

Paul's family paid tribute to him: “Paul, you were a much loved son, father, brother and uncle who will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.”

“You will never be forgotten. Sleep well, we love you.”

Paul's daughter added: “My father's life ended far too soon, close friends and family will miss him dearly.”

“He raised me with so much love and respect and I will always remember the great moments we shared.”

“I will miss him forever and I hold him close to my heart and am devastated by the things he will miss throughout my life. I hope he is at peace.”

Two men, aged 26 and 34, will appear at York Magistrates Court today charged with murder. A third man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail, police said.
