Shreveport man arrested after road rage incident

On September 29, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of the Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) initiated a traffic incident investigation. After a thorough review of the case, VCAT members identified the suspect as 21-year-old Jaylon Blake (DOB June 20, 2003).

A search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 400 block of Coventry Place. With assistance from the Shreveport City Marshal's Office and SPD's Warrant Unit, VCAT members executed the search warrant and were successful in locating Blake at the residence. Officers during the search Narcotics and a firearm seized.

Jaylon Blake was arrested and charged with the following crimes:

· Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance

· Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance

· Serious bodily harm with a firearm
