Frankie Valli talks viral Four Seasons performance videos

Frankie Valli really enjoys speculation about his health.

The Four Seasons frontman spoke to People about fans' concerns about his health after social media clips from his performance went viral. The videos show Valli, 90, performing with the group, although perhaps not as nimbly as in previous years. The clips sparked comments like: “Anyone who keeps sending Frankie Valli on stage at this point is committing elder abuse.”

But the New Jersey native dismissed the concerns.

Frankie Valli speaks on stage during the ceremony honoring Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 3, 2024 in Hollywood, California.

“I know there's been a lot of talk about me on the internet lately, so I wanted to set the record straight,” Valli told the outlet in a statement released Monday. “I'm blessed to be 90 years old and still doing what I love to do, and as long as I'm able and audiences want to see me, I'll be out there performing like I always do.”

He continued: “I have to smile when I ask in the comments if anyone is forcing me to go on stage. No one has ever forced me to do anything I didn’t want to do.”

Valli also addressed speculation that he lip-syncs during performances, adding that he is still able to sound like the original records thanks to “60 years of experience,” vocal overlays and “great arrangements.”

“I absolutely love what I do,” he said. “And I know we put on a great show because our fans still come out in droves and the show still rocks.”
