Shooting suspect arrested after police pursuit accident in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – A shooting at a Chinese takeaway just a few miles away ended with a car chase, a crash and two arrests by police.

Police said they were pursuing the suspects in a Dodge Durango when it crashed into concrete steps at 15th and Tioga streets around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Two gunmen were arrested in connection with a shooting at China Star on Germantown Avenue, where an SUV riddled with bullet holes was found.

The shooting victim was hospitalized after being driven to a local fire station. His condition is currently unknown.

Two replacement New Jersey license plates were also found in the suspects' vehicle, police said.

A motive is unknown and charges have not yet been announced.
