Police investigate armed robbery at gas station near Melrose school and hospital – Boston 25 News

MELROSE, Mass. – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station in Melrose, which is not far from a school and hospital.

According to the Melrose Police Department, a suspect armed with a knife robbed the Shell gas station at 860 Main Street overnight.

The gas station is not far from Melrose High School and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Multiple Melrose Police cruisers were spotted in the area as officers with flashlights and a K9 searched the area for evidence, including near the high school.

According to police, there were no injuries in the robbery.

No further details were immediately available.
