Baldwin County teacher arrested for public intoxication, now on administrative leave

A Baldwin County High School teacher is on administrative leave today after being arrested for public intoxication.

According to jail records, Glenn Ray was arrested by the Bay Minette Police Department on Wednesday afternoon and booked into the Baldwin County Correction Center on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Ray is listed on the Baldwin County High School website as a drama teacher, women's golf coach and girls flag football head coach.

A spokesman for Baldwin County Public Schools confirmed that Ray was placed on administrative leave but declined to provide further details about the arrest.

A response to a request for further information from the Bay Minette Police Department has not been received as of the time of this publication.

According to jail records, Ray was released on $1,000 bail shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday.
