The Volusia Sheriff's Office has made three arrests in connection with a drug operation allegedly conducted out of the parking lot of a Deltona bar. A two-month investigation by the VSO has resulted in a total of four suspects being identified, one of whom remains at large. They are accused of playing a role in selling drugs outside Buzzards Roost Bar at 2748 Elkcam Blvd in Deltona.

One suspect is still at large

The only suspect still at large as of Wednesday is 57-year-old Veronica Jackson, a Deltona resident. Jackson was charged with three counts of selling a Schedule II substance within 1,000 feet of a park, two counts of selling cannabis within 1,000 feet of a park, and two counts of unlawful use of a deuce -way communication device charged. There are no prior arrest bookings in the Volusia County Branch Jail database.

Anyone with information that could contribute to Jackson's arrest is asked to contact the VSO non-emergency line at (386) 248-1777 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 1-888-277-8477. Those who tip can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Three suspects in custody

Three of the four suspects are accused of selling narcotics to undercover officers, with a fourth operating in the area and making the sale at a location other than his work vehicle. Arrests were made by the VSO, the Deltona Narcotics Enforcement Team and the West Volusia and East Volusia Narcotics Task Forces.

The first arrest was 30-year-old Victor Rosario, who was charged with two counts of selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. A search warrant executed at Rosario's home resulted in the seizure of $9,627 and three bags of cocaine, according to the VSO report. His bail was set at $135,000.

The second arrest was 57-year-old Patrick Robinson, who is said to have sold cannabis. The undercover detectives were unable to make a purchase from Robinson, so they staked out his house to collect evidence. He was stopped while driving and police seized 30 grams of cannabis, sandwich bags, a digital scale, a prescription bottle of muscle relaxants in another person's name and $1,034 in cash. He is charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell, possession of a new legend drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $6,000.

The third person arrested is 35-year-old Richard Torres. The VSO had the fewest details about Torres' involvement, but said he was charged with selling cannabis and cocaine within 300 meters of a park and selling cocaine within 300 meters of a child care facility. His bail was set at $75,000.
