Family and Children's Association (FCA), a social services organization on Long Island, has moved one of its drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers to the East End.

FCA's Transformation, Healing, Recovery, Inspiration, Validation and Empowerment (THRIVE) Center, relocated from Westhampton to 680 Elton Street in Riverhead, will provide recovery services on the North and South Forks.

Since 2017, THRIVE has worked to help individuals and families find, maintain, and strengthen their recovery. Thanks to continued funding from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports and FCA donors, THRIVE also has centers in Hauppauge and Westbury. Together with the East End Center, THRIVE has served more than 30,000 people.

“The success of the THRIVE community continues to grow through word of mouth and through the incredible support of our partners,” FCA President and CEO Jeffrey Reynolds said in a press release about the relocated center.

“We know the need is real – and we are excited to open this new, centrally located facility to better serve the East End of Long Island,” he added.

A ribbon cutting held earlier this week was attended by members of the recovery community as well as elected officials and their representatives.

“We support individuals on their recovery journey by helping them maintain their progress and improve their overall well-being,” Reynolds said. “Together we are committed to ending epidemics.”
