Eminem sheds tears, shares memories and announces grandchild in new music video "Temporary"

Marshall's new music video is even more personal than the previous “Somebody Save Me.” But it is also full of light and hope.

Em again makes extensive use of his home video archive in “Temporary,” a letter to his daughter Hailie in which Marshall speaks of his mortality and the strong family bonds that hold him together. However, this time we also get to see more recent footage, including scenes from Hailie's wedding and even the day Hailie told Em she was expecting a child. Marshall sobbing in his daughter's wedding room or holding a jersey with “GRANDPA 1” printed on it is a sight to behold.

While many find the song itself dark and difficult due to the themes it touches on, the music video changes the tone and shows the continuation of life and love in Marshall's close-knit circle.
