Update on Sammy Guevara after the scary incident before AEW Dynamite – PWMania

During Wednesday night's ROH TV tapings, Sammy Guevara appeared to be knocked out during his match against Serpentico, which was a scary moment ahead of AEW Dynamite.

Fans in attendance noted that the injury occurred when he attempted a cutter to counter a top rope move, but missed and landed on Guevara's head. They abandoned the match and Serpentico was declared the winner.

Guevara was placed on his back. On X, Dave Meltzer stated that Guevara probably suffered a concussion. According to PWTorch's Wade Keller, Guevara was seen walking around alone after the exam, and it was hard to tell that he was on a stretcher earlier.

Bryan Alvarez revealed what he knew about Guevara while speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio. He explained: “I'm told they were quite worried at the time, but he was in the trainer's room later and seemed fine, although I'm sure he'll remain in the concussion protocol for a while.”

We wish him a speedy recovery.
