Eminem a grandpa? Hailie Jade reveals pregnancy in 'Temporary' video

Someone grab the Kleenex. Eminem released his poignant video “Temporary” featuring his daughter Hailie Jade on Thursday (October 3).

Slim Shady travels back in time with numerous home videos showing Hailie growing up as a child and walking down the aisle at her wedding earlier this year. Concerts, birthday parties, backyard get-togethers, graduations, and more pass by in the blink of an eye before Em stands in front of his daughter in her wedding dress.

Hailie Jade surprises her father with the news that Eminem is going to be a grandpa. She gives him a Detroit Lions jersey, but Em almost collapses when she realizes that the number 1 says “Grandpa” on the back of the jersey.

The emotions continue to pour out as the scene switches to a teary-eyed Em enjoying his first father-daughter dance with Hailey at their wedding. There's a final flashback to a heartwarming card Hailey wrote for Em on Father's Day as a child.

“Thank you for everything you do and for always being there for all of us, girl. You really are the best father in the world. I love you forever + $100 million forever and ever,” she wrote.

The Skylar Gray-assisted “Temporary” landed on Ems The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) in July. The vulnerable track debuted at number 56 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Hailie Jade reflected on the first time she heard “Temporary” on her over the summer Just a little shady Podcast.

“I audibly sobbed… I think on both songs, but especially on 'Temporary,'” she said. Hailie went on to praise her parents for “doing such a good job” of trying to shield her from the reality of “how bad things were between them.”
