Rapper Lucas Coly has died aged 27, manager claims

Rapper Lucas Coly has reportedly died. He was 27.

The hip-hop artist's manager announced his death on Instagram on Thursday, writing in a since-deleted caption, according to Us Weekly, “Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro.” My heart is torn in half. Wait for me up there 🙏.”

The manager of Coly's I Discover Stars Entertainment, whose name was not revealed, attached a throwback photo of the “Act Right” crooner smoking outdoors to the post. A second post showed the hitmaker posing with a friend.

“Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here,” the talent manager continued in a now-deleted post.

“There's a hole in my heart right now, Lucas. We constantly talked about our problems but smiled for the fans.

“So many people hurt us over and over again, but we had each other. I don't know what to do now. I would be a hypocrite if I forbade you, and I do the same thing.”

The manager emotionally revealed that his heart had been “torn to pieces” following his customer's death.

“God send him back here. Please 💔 I’m broken here #riplucascoly #checkonyourfriends,” he concluded.

According to Us Weekly, Coly's longtime manager also urged fans to pray for Coly's girlfriend Amber in a now-deleted Facebook post.

“Amber will confirm the news when she is ready,” the manager wrote. “Please give her time to process and heal. When funeral arrangements are finalized.”

Before his death, the “I Just Wanna” rapper wrote on his Instagram Story, “I love you all” with an orange heart emoji.

Coly's cause of death has not been revealed.

A representative for the French-born artist was not immediately available for comment to Page Six and the outlet could not independently confirm his death.

Several fans mourned Coly's death on social media, one wrote

“My heart breaks for Lucas Coly's (sic) family, friends and girlfriend,” another wrote, while another added: “Heartbreaking news…gone far too soon.”

Coly was born in France but immigrated to America at the age of 8. He rose to fame on Vine by posting videos of himself rapping when he was around 17 years old.
