Bushfire breaks out near Piru, smoke visible from Santa Clarita

A brush fire broke out near Piru in Ventura County on Thursday and smoke could be seen in Santa Clarita.

The fire, named Felicia Fire, is burning west of the Santa Clarita Valley in Ventura County near the community of Piru.

According to the Ventura County Fire Department, the fire covered 10 acres as of 1:40 p.m.

At the time of this article's publication, the Santa Clarita Valley was not affected by the fire, despite visible clouds of smoke.
