Benson and her squad work case

There may be at least one major change coming Law & Order: SVU squad in its 26th season, but when it premieres on October 3, it appears to be business as usual for the unit.

NBC has released photos from the episode “Fractured” that offer a look at the entire squad – Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), Sgt. Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice-T), ADA Dominick “Sonny” Carisi Jr. ( Peter Scanavino), Det. Joe Velasco (Octavio Pisano), Det. Terry Bruno (Kevin Kane), Captain Renee Curry (recurring guest star Aime Donna Kelly) and the newest member, Det. Kate Silva (Juliana Aidén Martinez) – working on the premiere case . In the episode, the unit investigates a brutal home invasion and an attack on a group of law students. Benson hopes to solve the case when a hidden camera is discovered in the apartment. Carisi's best chance of a conviction is to catch the defendant in a lie.

Kane was promoted to regular between seasons, while Martinez was added to the force as a new detective. Benson began building her unit last season, and Curry — despite being the same rank — was part of it. We also know that Kelli Giddish returns in several episodes this season (beginning October 24) as Amanda Rollins, now a sergeant working for the NYPD's intelligence unit.

“Rollins loves her new job,” Giddish told TV Insider. “She says it's like eavesdropping on the whole world. And I feel like she's really happy and it's fun to play this version of Rollins.”

Check out the photos below and then let us know what you want to see this season and with the new detective in the comments section.
