2 people arrested in El Paso County for attempted human trafficking of minors

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said they arrested two people on Wednesday in connection with a suspected human trafficking case.

The sheriff's office said they received a 911 call from a member of the Colorado Ped Patrol reporting a suspected case of human trafficking. Deputies responded to the 600 block of Hathaway Dr. in Cimarron Hills and made contact with the reporting party.

The sheriff's office said its investigators arrested Bryan Borenstein and Joanna Ferguson on charges of attempted human trafficking of a minor, sexual servitude and internet enticement of a child. Both are crimes.

“We are aware of the video circulating online regarding this investigation and the serious allegations contained therein,” the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said. “Sheriff’s investigators have reviewed the video and are working to identify potential victims and witnesses.”
