Nashville woman arrested for auto and vehicle theft in Hendersonville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A 19-year-old Nashville woman was arrested after Hendersonville police linked her to two vehicle thefts and the theft of a vehicle, according to Hendersonville police.

Kendra N. Reed, 19, was charged with theft of property valued at over $10,000 and two counts of vehicle burglary.

HPD said they responded to a subdivision on Cedar Point Road on Sept. 30 for a report of a stolen vehicle. The stolen Kia was located in Mt. Juliet in Nashville that same day thanks to a license plate reader (LPR), but was unoccupied.

Investigation of the stolen vehicle revealed that two vehicle break-ins had occurred in the same area. The Wilson County Sheriff's Office was involved in the burglaries, so authorities exchanged information, which led to the discovery of Reed's identity.

Reed was arrested at her home in Nashville on Wednesday by HPD with assistance from the Metro Nashville Police Department.

She is currently in custody on a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on October 22.

“Police are urging anyone with information regarding this case to contact the Hendersonville Police Department at (615) 822-1111 or Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at (615) 594-4113. Tips can also be submitted through the P3 Tips Mobile application,” HPD said.
