A new Ray-Ban meta update adds reminders and voice messages

Meta brings memories of its Ray-Ban smart glasses, a feature it introduced during its Connect event last month. The update allows you to ask Meta AI to remember your surroundings, such as: B. where you parked and even receive time reminders for making a phone call.

Other features of the update include the ability to send and record voice messages on WhatsApp or Messenger without having to take out the phone. You can now also ask Meta AI to scan QR codes or call phone numbers you come across.

Meta is also updating the way you access Meta AI while wearing the smart glasses. Instead of saying “Hey Meta” before every question, you now only have to say “Hey Meta” for your first question and then ask all subsequent questions without prompting. You also no longer need to tell Meta AI to say “look and” when asking about something you see.

Meta's AI Assistant is currently only available in the US and Canada. You can access the new features by updating the Meta View app on iOS and Android to version 186, which began rolling out on Wednesday. Along with this update, Meta announced that the limited edition clear Ray-Bans have already sold out online (although some may still be available in stores).
