Two people are injured and two others arrested after a police chase ended in a crash in Greenfield on Thursday. Greenfield police said a flock camera led officers to a stolen blue Kia near 27th Street and Layton Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. According to GPD, they found the blue Kia in the parking lot of a nearby business . These officers saw someone get out of the car from inside the blue Kia and get into a silver car, which was also believed to be stolen. Greenfield police said the chase began at 27th Street and Edgerton Avenue when the two cars sped away. What happened next was captured on Nick Moeck's dashcam. A black car in the center of the screen, which appears to be an unmarked police car, briefly turns on its emergency lights. Seconds later, the blue Kia speeds past on the right, swerves in front of the camera and crashes into two cars in the left lane. “I pulled over and saw the police officers getting out of their cars with their guns drawn, so I decided it was best to get out of there,” Moeck said. According to GPD, officers arrested the 18-year-old driver of the Kia and a passenger under the age of 18. said Moeck. Moeck said he was lucky that he and his father, who was also in the car, made it out unhurt. “If the undercover car in front of me hadn't turned on its lights, I wouldn't have slowed down.” “And he would have just come around and driven right into me,” Moeck said. GPD said paramedics took two people from one of the two cars the blue Kia struck to the hospital with serious injuries, but they are expected to survive. Police are still searching for the stolen silver car that got away.

Greenfield police said a flock camera alerted officers to a stolen blue Kia near 27th Street and Layton Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. According to GPD, officers then located the blue Kia in the parking lot of a nearby business. These officers saw someone inside the blue Kia get out of the car and get into a silver car, which was also believed to be stolen.

Greenfield police said the chase began at 27th Street and Edgerton Avenue when the two cars sped away.

What happened next was captured on Nick Moeck's dashboard camera.

“Over the last four or five years I've seen the drivers in Milwaukee get worse and worse. They ran red lights and ran stop signs,” Moeck said.

Moeck said he was glad that he and his father, who was also in the car, made it out uninjured.

“If the undercover car in front of me hadn't turned on its lights, I wouldn't have slowed down already. And he would just come around and drive right into me,” Moeck said.

According to GPD, paramedics took two people from one of the two cars the blue Kia struck to the hospital with serious injuries, but they are expected to survive.

Police are still searching for the stolen silver car that got away.
