The design of the Google Pixel 9A has been leaked, the launch in 2025 could come much sooner

Google is expected to launch the Pixel 9a smartphone in early 2025. It will be the company's latest mid-range addition to its recently launched Google Pixel 9 series. However, ahead of the device's official announcement, a number of computer aided design (CAD) renders of the upcoming Pixel phone have surfaced online, suggesting significant changes to the back and processor.

Google Pixel 9a launch and rumors

According to the leaks, the Pixel 9a is expected to come with Android 15 and a Tensor G4 chipset like the other models in the Pixel 9 series. According to reports, Google could launch the Pixel 9a around March next year, a few months earlier than usual.

As for the design, the leaked renders suggest that the Pixel 9a will not feature the traditional camera bar or visor. Instead, the cameras will sit flush with the back and be enclosed in a pill-shaped module that houses two camera sensors. With dimensions of 154 x 73 mm, the device will be slightly higher and wider. However, it will also be thinner as it is expected to measure 8.5mm, compared to the 8.9mm frame on the Pixel 8a.

The upcoming device appears to have noticeable but consistent side bezels and flat edges. However, the rest of the phone is similar to other Pixel 9 phones. Additionally, according to a report from GSMArena, the Pixel 9a is expected to come in four new color options including Porcelain, Obsidian, Peony and Iris.

Talking about the Google Pixel 9 series, the company launched its four flagship phones including the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, all equipped with the new Tensor G4 processor and Equipped with the Titan M2 security chip.

In India, the Google Pixel 9 price starts at Rs 79,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB variant. The Pixel 9 Pro with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 1,09,999, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL with the same memory and storage configuration is available at Rs 1,24,999.
