Google introduces AI video search

Google has introduced a new feature that allows users to search the Internet by recording a video on their smartphone.

Video search allows users to point their camera at something, ask a question about it, and get search results. Android and iPhone users worldwide can access the feature by enabling “AI Overviews” in their Google app. The feature only supports English at launch.

A Google blog post said: “Today we're taking another big step forward with some of our most significant search updates yet, leveraging AI to dramatically expand the way Google can help you – from finding just what you want right information you need, to searching for any information.” Curiosity that comes to mind.”

“[..] Now you can use it [Google] Lens for searching by recording video and asking questions about the moving objects you see. Let's say you're at the aquarium and want to learn more about some interesting fish in one of the exhibits. To shoot, open Lens in the Google app and hold down the shutter button while asking your question out loud, such as: B. “Why are they swimming together?” Our systems will interpret the video and your question together to create an AI overview along with helpful resources from across the web,” the blog added.

The option to use your voice to ask a question is also now available whenever users take a photo with Lens. You can point your camera at it, hold down the shutter button, and ask what's on your mind.
