Two people arrested in El Paso County in connection with a human trafficking case

EL PASO COUNTY – Two people have been arrested in connection with a human trafficking case, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday, the sheriff's office said it received a call reporting the suspected case on Hathaway Drive in the Cimarron Hills area.

Following the investigation, the Sheriff's Office said Bryan Borenstein and Joanna Ferguson were arrested on the following charges:

  • attempted human trafficking of minors for the purpose of sexual exploitation
  • Temptation of a child on the Internet

According to the sheriff's office, Borenstein and Ferguson are being held without bail in the El Paso County Jail.
The sheriff's office says there is video of this incident online and they are working to identify potential victims and witnesses.
