Actor is released from hospital after injury

Mumbai: Bollywood star Govinda, who was injured when his gun misfired on the morning of October 1, has been discharged from hospital.

The 60-year-old actor was photographed leaving the hospital. Govinda was in a wheelchair and had a cast on his leg. His wife Sunita Ahuja stood next to the actor.

As Govinda was greeted by photographers outside the hospital, he was seen with folded hands, waving and even blowing kisses to the paparazzi.

On Thursday, his wife shared the actor's health and said that Govinda will be discharged soon.

On October 2, Govinda was shifted from the intensive care unit to the general ward. His manager Shashi Sinha had said that the police have taken up the statement of the actor's daughter Tina.

He also claimed that the actor's statement has not been recorded yet.

The actor misfired his licensed gun while cleaning out the closet and accidentally shot himself in the foot. Part of the weapon's lock was said to have broken, which led to the misfire.

According to the sources, the actor was supposed to travel to Kolkata but was earlier thinking about arranging his wardrobe when the incident occurred as the lock of the gun was broken.

At the time of the incident, six bullets were loaded and one of them misfired in his foot following which he was immediately rushed to the hospital in Juhu.

After the actor was in the hospital, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon paid a visit to Govinda at the hospital in Mumbai's Juhu area.

She did not speak to the media and immediately entered the hospital building.

Actress Kashmera Shah, wife of actor Krushna Abhishek, had gone to live with her father-in-law Govinda. She arrived hurriedly in her car and refused to speak to the media given her family's situation.

Krushna Abhishek also shared a health update about Govinda, his maternal uncle, on Instagram. He wrote: “Mom is better now.

Thank you all for your prayers and love. I wish him a speedy recovery. God is good. Please keep your prayers pouring in.”
