Amazon is adding 2,000 jobs in San Antonio ahead of the holiday season

SAN ANTONIO — Two thousand more jobs will be created in San Antonio after Amazon announced Thursday that it will add positions ahead of the 2024 holiday season.

The seasonal jobs offer competitive pay, flexible working hours and the opportunity to transition to regular full-time positions after the holidays.

A total of 250,000 positions will be filled at various Amazon facilities across the country. Two thousand of those will be in the greater San Antonio area.

All seasonal employees are paid at least $18 an hour and have access to health benefits.

According to Amazon, about a third of seasonal employees return year after year.
