The Alabama National Fair begins Friday in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Alabama National Fair returns to the capital on Friday.

The The show begins October 4th with WSFA 12 News Day at the show. Opening day admission is just $1 with a non-perishable item for the Heart of Alabama Food Bank.

Many artists are ready to perform over the 11 days of the fair, including R&B group Dru Hill and country singer Dylan Scott.

Visitors under 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and such guardian must be at least 21 years of age.

The fair begins October 4th and law enforcement is working hard to make the event safe.

Before opening day, you can sample food from this year's vendors at Taste of the Fair on Thursday. Tickets is $30 and proceeds benefit Miracle Field of Montgomery.
