Already in April of this year Family man Creator Seth MacFarlane joined in Alex Borstein (Lois Griffin), Seth Green (Chris Griffin), Mila Kunis (Meg Griffin), Arif Zahir (Cleveland Brown), Patrick Warburton (Joe Swanson), Jennifer Tilly (Bonnie Swanson) and showrunner Rich Apple & Alec Sulkin for a PaleyFest conversation about the long-running animated series celebrating its 25th anniversary. That's when we learned some interesting news about two special Hulu-exclusive, original Christmas themes Family man Episodes that would hit the streaming service. “I expect it will be our Halloween and Christmas episodes,” MacFarlane added (with Twister star Glen Powell hired as a guest star for the Halloween special).

Just over five months later, we get our first glimpse of what Halloween has in store for the Griffins and the gang with the release of the official trailer Family Guy Halloween Special. The special, which will air on Hulu on October 14th and features guests Powell and Derek Jacobi, shows Peter and the gang as they want – and say – to put an end to the reigning Pumpkin Contest champion (Powell). we just want them to keep all options on the table. You can watch the official trailer above – and here's a look at the official key art poster:

With a feature film in mind, MacFarlane has faced and addressed this question several times over the years. But for those who may have thought it was an idea that MacFarlane had moved on from, far from it. “I've known what this movie is going to be for 15 years and I just haven't had time to get into it, but I know what it's going to be,” MacFarlane shared in reference to an update during the PaleyFest panel earlier this year year. Even if he doesn't exactly lack projects at the moment (The Orville Season 4?), MacFarlane's words show that at least the concept of a movie is still in play – and there's nothing to suggest that the movie has should be released in cinemas.
