An Oklahoma man pleaded guilty to shooting and killing the mother of his child in an OKC apartment last year.

Dario Acebedo, 40, murdered his ex-girlfriend, 52-year-old Maria Aguilar, in March 2023. Shortly after the killing, Acebedo was charged with first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police said he showed up unannounced at Aguilar's Oklahoma City apartment to talk about her child. The argument ended with Acebedo shooting her and another person who survived.
