Hawkeyes tailgate party fundraiser to fight pancreatic cancer on Saturday

ELDRIDGE, Iowa (KWQC) – The Ohl Strong Foundation will host its 9th Annual Tailgate Party on Saturday, October 5th starting at 11am at the Tradition Event Center in Eldridge, Iowa.

The purpose of this event is to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer patients in the greater Quad Cities area. It's a wonderful opportunity to support a worthwhile cause while enjoying a day of fun

Each year, patients and their families in our community are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, including the late Dr. Brent Ohl. Originally from the Quad Cities, he earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Iowa in 1994 and moved back to the area in 2000 to live and practice anesthesiology in western Illinois at UnityPoint Health – Trinity.

His wife, Peggy, received a Ph.D. in his honor through the Trinity Health Foundation. Brent Ohl Strong Pancreatic Cancer Support & Awareness Endowment Fund established.
