The Crystal Rogers murder case goes to Warren Co., not Christian | NewsRadio 1230 AM/99.3 FM | Hopkinsville's News Guide

It appears the Crystal Rogers murder case will not be making its way to Christian County as the parties involved in the case have decided to move the case to Warren County.

That's according to Nelson County Circuit Court Judge Charles Simms, who says the commonwealth and all three defendants in the case – Brooks Houck, Steve Lawson and Joseph Lawson – have agreed to a change of venue to Warren County instead.

The idea of moving it to Christian County was considered, but Warren County is closer to Nelson County and still meets requirements to limit bias in a potential jury pool.

Since Rogers went missing in 2015, the Crystal Rogers case has received extensive coverage. The three men were formally charged in the case eight years later at the event.

However, despite numerous searches and law enforcement efforts, Rogers' body was never found. Rogers' vehicle was still found on the Bluegrass Parkway in 2015, with her phone and purse inside – but Rogers appeared to be missing.
