The man accused of killing 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard will wait until spring for his murder trial. Ibraheem Yazeed was charged in November 2022 with the kidnapping and murder of the Auburn student. Court records show the trial was scheduled for February 3, 2025, but last week the judge continued the case until the Macon Criminal Jury's spring session in 2025. No exact date has been set. Blanchard, a Homewood native, was last seen at an Auburn supermarket in October 2019. He “went to the gun” after being kidnapped, court documents show.
