Sheridan woman charged with various drug offenses – Sheridan Media

A 45-year-old Sheridan woman was charged with a variety of drug offenses Thursday in the Fourth Judicial District. Ron Richter of Sheridan Media has the details.

On August 22, 2024, Stacia Sechler-Cooper was arrested and charged with seven felonies related to the alleged distribution and possession of drugs. Sechler-Cooper pleaded not guilty at Thursday's hearing to two counts of child endangerment for possessing and storing methamphetamine in the presence of children; one count of criminal possession with intent to deliver – methamphetamine; one count of possession of crack/cocaine; one count of negligent possession of cocaine; one count of negligent possession of marijuana and one count of negligent possession of psilocybin. The arrest and subsequent charges were the result of an investigation by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

District Judge Darci Phillips has scheduled a three-day jury trial for February 12, 2025. A preliminary hearing will be held on January 16 at 9 a.m. Judge Phillips approved a request to modify Sechler-Cooper's bond to allow her to travel for work and medical treatment. If convicted on all seven counts, Sechler-Cooper faces up to 40 years in prison and fines of up to $53,000.
