Davante Adams' trade request, interest in joining Jets is 'out of my control'

The Jets have long been considered a potential destination should the Raiders part ways with Adams. As recently as this summer, every time the QB commented on his former teammate, the quotes were nit-picky like something out of a Zapruder film.

In July, Rodgers talked about golf. On Friday, he spoke about watering Greens regarding his relationship with Adams.

“The grass is green where you water it,” Rodgers said. “The saying that 'the grass isn't always greener on the other side' is a fear mongering exercise.” But the grass is greener where you water it. You invest the time, you invest intention, intention into what you do, and you can make it a special situation when you're somewhere.

Scary phrases aside, Rodgers' experience with Adams would undoubtedly prove beneficial if the QB and WR were to get back together. In eight seasons together in Green Bay, Rodgers completed 615 passes for 7,517 yards and 68 touchdowns for Adams. Including the playoffs, Rodgers and Adams have scored 76 touchdowns, tied for the fifth-most touchdowns of any QB-WR duo in NFL history.

That's a lot of watering.
