Orangeburg man arrested and charged with weapons violation

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCSC) – Two men are facing multiple felony charges following a traffic stop, according to the Orangeburg Sheriff's Office.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff's spokesman Richard Walker said.

Khaliel Disher, 22, was charged with possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony and simple possession of marijuana.

A 24-year-old passenger was also charged with simple possession of marijuana.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said he noticed several guns during a traffic stop Tuesday.

“It started with a traffic violation that left the occupants of the vehicle feeling unwell,” Ravenell said. “In the end, several weapons were confiscated and gun crime charges were filed.”

Officers found two Glocks and a Draco pistol and seized them from the vehicle.
