Authorities are investigating stalking incident on the University of Arizona campus

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Authorities are investigating a reported stalking incident on the University of Arizona campus.

The University of Arizona Police Department said it happened around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, and the exact location is unknown.

The victim said she was on campus when a man drove up to her and offered her a ride. The suspect drove away, walked around her and asked her again.

“It is unknown at this time if this incident is related to previous similar incidents around the main campus that UAPD notified the community about last month,” a UAPD news release said.

In September, The UAPD warned students about two men harassing women on campus.

The UAPD said 73-year-old Brad Wilkinson had a long history of offering rides to and following women. Wilkinson was banned from campus, but UAPD said he had already ignored expulsion orders.

The second man was identified as 41-year-old Henry Yanez II. Yanez, who has caused problems for women on campus in the pastHe was arrested in early August on stalking and assault charges.

The suspect in Thursday's incident was described as a white male in his 60s or 70s. He has white hair and a bald head, a beard and a goatee.

He was last seen wearing a blue and white striped shirt and sunglasses. He was driving a white vehicle with a license plate that began with “DN.”

There have been several violent incidents on or near the University of Arizona campus in the last month.

On September 3, a robbery occurred near First and Warren.

On September 22, a fatal shooting occurred on the school's sand volleyball courts.

On September 22, an armed robbery occurred near 9th Street and Third Avenue.

On September 26, an aggravated robbery occurred near Park Avenue and 2nd Street.
