Where to see “Hocus Pocus” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” in the cinema on Halloween

It's time to get your tickets to two of this year's hottest Halloween releases as Disney conjures up movie magic with the new release Hocus pocus And The nightmare before Christmas in the cinema and on television.

The studio announced this at the beginning of the year Hocus pocus – starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as Salem's evil, resurrected witches the Sanderson Sisters – and Nightmare before Christmas (Tim Burton's animated classic about the well-intentioned Jack Skellington who brings Christmas messages to his Halloween hometown) would return to theaters in the fall, marking another annual revival of two holiday classics.

As you settle into spooky season with plenty of scorpion cake and several chocolate-covered fingers from men named Clark, read on to find out where, when, and in what format (nightmare offers a few different options!) you can head to theaters in the run-up to Halloween on October 31st to see both classics on the big screen.

When to do Hocus pocus And The nightmare before Christmas Return to the cinema?

Disney has already revealed that both films will return to cinemas in October 2024, but on different dates. The nightmare before Christmas Seasons begin on October 11th, followed by Hocus pocus Returns to theaters a week later on October 18th.

Additionally, Hocus pocus will host limited fan event screenings October 1-3 at the studio's El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, California, which will include a photo opportunity and prop demonstrations from the original 1993 Kenny Ortega film.

Where will Hocus pocus And The nightmare before Christmas play in the theater?

A Disney representative confirms this Weekly entertainment that both films will play in more than 1,000 theaters across the United States. Most major chains will host screenings of the films, including AMC, Regal, Cinemark and more.

There is no need for a calming circle; Tickets for both Hocus pocus And The nightmare before Christmas are already there to soothe your soul, like a warm bowl of wormweed soup from Sally (Catherine O'Hara).

Most theaters began selling tickets for the films on Tuesday, October 1, ahead of both films' scheduled re-release dates. Ticket information for major chains (must enter local theater information for availability) is below:

In addition to cinema releases, Hocus pocus And The nightmare before Christmas will be broadcast as part of the “31 Nights of Halloween” programming block on Disney-owned channel Freeform – which also includes the world premiere of the sequel, which was previously only available as streaming Hocus Pocus 2.
