'Star Trek' actor visits Kentucky for screening

William Shatner, best known for his role as Captain Kirk on “Star Trek,” will appear in Lexington on Friday for a special screening of his latest documentary.

According to the event's website, Shatner will appear at the Kentucky Theater for a screening of “William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill” starting at 5 p.m., along with a special question-and-answer session and a VIP dinner experience. Tickets for the event are sold out, but red carpet photography opportunities are still available for purchase.

Shatner posted about the event on Instagram in September, telling Kentuckians, “I hope to see you there!”
