Kristen Bell Reveals Husband Dax Shepard's Reaction to Her Chemistry with Adam Brody in 'Nobody Wants This'

Kristen Bell says her husband Dax Shepard is a fan of the chemistry between her and Adam Brody Nobody wants that.

Speaking to E! News for a recently published eTalk Interview, that Veronica Mars alum, 44, opened up about what Shepard, 49, thought when he saw her steamy scenes with Brody, 44, in the brand new Netflix rom-com.

“Even I can agree that I saw it and thought, 'Wow, that's hot,'” Bell told the outlet. “My husband said the same thing. For example, when he watched the first episode, he thought, “Oh my God, I want you to kiss him so bad.”

The series, which debuted on the streaming service on September 26, is about “an agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi [who] fall in love,” reads an official synopsis.

The description goes on to ask, “But can their relationship survive their vastly different lives and interfering families?”

According to Bell, mastering the seduction wasn't easy, although she and Adam's on-screen chemistry was convincing enough to attract her own husband to the TV couple.

“I'm not trying to be reductive, but I think there's a math behind it,” she told E! News. “You have two actors who know how to stare dazedly into each other's eyes, and you have to have the confidence to expand on that and really maintain the anticipation level before the kiss – which I think is really important.”

“Whether or not people want to see you get together with someone is bullshit, and we just have lightning in a bottle,” she added of their connection on the Erin Foster-created series.

Bell and Shepard share daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9. After more than a decade of marriage and two children, Bell explained what drew her to her latest role.

“I liked it so much because it felt like a very modern take on romance novels and the characters aren’t 22, they’re like 38,” she told PEOPLE. “It's about everything from the dangers of dating apps to more serious topics like what it means for people from different backgrounds and different perspectives on life to bridge those differences in the name of love.”

And while Shepard may support his wife's role Nobody wants thatBell recently told PEOPLE that they can be pretty competitive.

“We compete together all the time, but we’re nice when we play pickleball,” the actress told PEOPLE exclusively in an article published on September 28. “We're not trying to break each other's hips or anything.”

Nobody wants that is now streaming on Netflix.
