Plymouth Police officers were notified by the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center on Thursday, October 3, of an LPR (License Plate Recognition) raid on an individual wanted on an active warrantrd, shortly after noon.

Officer Witkowski located the vehicle on North Michigan Road, north of Veterans Parkway, and initiated a traffic stop.

Jimmy R. Montague Jr., 56, of Debra Lane in Plymouth, was arrested without incident. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a warrant charging him with criminal coercion and communications intimidation and racketeering/extortion.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and there is only probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed . You are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to representation by an attorney and a jury trial, in which the state is required to provide evidence beyond a reasonable doubt before a verdict of guilt can be made.
