Four famous NBA celebrity fans will be inducted into the James F. Goldstein SuperFan Gallery at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on October 13th.

According to Marc J. Spears of ESPN's Andscape, the Basketball Hall of Fame announced Friday that director Spike Lee, actor Jack Nicholson, actor Billy Crystal and businessman Alan Horwitz will be inducted into the exhibit, which has been celebrating the NBA's most iconic fans since 2021.

The gallery is named after businessman and longtime NBA fan Jimmy Goldstein, who has regularly attended Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers games for decades.

According to Spears, inductees Lee, Nicholson, Crystal and Horwitz will be part of the Basketball Hall of Fame's SuperFan celebration this month.

Lee, Nicholson, Crystal and Horwitz are all long-time basketball fans who have become synonymous with the teams they support.

There may not be a more famous NBA fan than Lee, as the Oscar winner always seems to attend New York Knicks games at Madison Square Garden.

The same goes for three-time Oscar winner Nicholson, who is always on hand to cheer on his Lakers.

Crystal may be best known for his love of baseball and the New York Yankees, but he is also a Clippers fan and has held season tickets to the franchise for many years.

Horwitz is from Philadelphia and has regularly attended Philadelphia 76ers games since the 1960s. He is affectionately known as the “Sixth Man” and always wears a jersey with the number 76 and the “Sixth Man” name tag.

When the James F. Goldstein SuperFan Gallery was founded in 2021, it honored Goldstein, Lakers fan Penny Marshall and Toronto Raptors fan Nav Bhatia, all of whom displayed personal items.

The SuperFan celebration will take place the same weekend as the 2024 Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where Chauncey Billups, Vince Carter and several other notable names will be honored.
