Will Ferrell regrets visiting a Texas restaurant while filming

You may have already seen it, the new documentary on Netflix starring Will Ferrell and Harper Steele, which was partially filmed in Texas.

Will Ferrell now says he partially regrets that stop in Amarillo. During her visit to the Big Texan Steak Ranch, Steele toasts the crowd and comments on transgender rights in Texas.

Suffice to say, this popped like a lead balloon. This toast doesn't make it into the documentary itself, but the aftermath does. Steele, who recently came out as transgender herself, recounts how uncomfortable the experience quickly became.

Ferrell says he feels responsible for not examining the potential of the situation. This all happens because Texas lawmakers prohibit transgender people from changing the gender marker on their driver's license.
