Motorcyclist dies in crash near Iroquois Park

A motorcyclist has died after colliding with an SUV near Iroquois Park, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. LMPD was called to the area of ​​New Cut Road and Orchard Hill Drive for a crash at approximately 9:56 p.m. Police said a man was on a motorcycle speeding through New Cut when he hit an SUV trying to make a left turn out of Iroquois Park. The man was thrown from his motorcycle. Police said that although the man was wearing a helmet, he was pronounced dead at the scene. According to LMPD, the driver and passenger in the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The LMPD Traffic Unit is leading the investigation.
