Ketlen Vieira: Calm before the storm

“She’s a very good grappler, but I think I’m more versatile. All these years in the UFC have given me so much experience, I've competed against former champions and several contenders, and that's why I'm ready for this moment.”

Vieira is a veteran of 17 professional fights, including 11 in the UFC, but despite her Octagon familiarity, she has been plagued by training camp nerves throughout her career. But despite the test that lies ahead, Vieira said she has achieved a level of calm composure ahead of her fight with Harrison this weekend.

“When I have a fight planned, Dede (Pederneiras, her trainer) usually jokes: 'Are you on the toilet yet?' Because I always shit my pants! I don’t want this day to come!” she grinned.

“But for this fight I am so prepared, so happy and calm because God gives us this peace. I can barely wait for it. I can’t wait to come face to face with her so she can see what awaits her.”
