'Chhod Mera Phone': Thief snatches girl's phone through train window in viral video | On trend

A shocking video has emerged online showing a thief stealing a girl's mobile phone through a train window at night, sparking concerns about the safety of public transport.

Disturbing incident caught on camera

The footage shows the thief hanging from the train window and violently grabbing the young girl's phone. Despite her desperate attempts to hold onto it, the thief manages to steal the phone and run away. Another girl sitting across from her is stunned and watches in shock as the thief flees.

However, the authenticity of the viral video could not be independently verified by HT.com.

In the video, the distraught girl is heard shouting, “Chhod mera phone” (leave my phone), and as the thief flees, she shouts “mera phone le gaya” (he took my phone), but at that point it is already over over was too late. The entire scene was recorded and has since gone viral on all social media platforms.

Online outrage over safety concerns

The video has sparked widespread concern about the safety of public transport passengers. Many internet users have expressed their fears about the danger to commuters, especially women, in such situations.

One user commented: “How can someone just steal a phone like that? This is terrifying.” Another added: “I feel unsafe traveling now, especially late at night.”

Others expressed frustration with the authorities, with one person saying: “Why isn't there proper surveillance at train stations?” This is unacceptable.” Meanwhile, some pointed to a larger problem of crime in the area, with another noting: “This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. Something has to change.”

Two other users disagreed about the authenticity of the clip. One wrote: “This looks staged but if it's real it's really scary,” while another simply commented: “Real or fake, it's a wake-up call for everyone.”
