Watch Mike Tyson destroy pads before fight against Jake Paul in new training footage

Mike Tyson appears ready for next month's blockbuster return to the boxing ring against Jake Paul.

The former heavyweight champion will face Paul on November 15th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, headlining an event that will be streamed for subscribers on Netflix. The fight was originally scheduled for July, but Tyson pulled out due to a medical emergency.

With many questions surrounding 58-year-old Tyson's age and general health, “Iron” attempted to counter the negative press by conducting a pad-melting training session, which he posted on Instagram.

Tyson has not competed in a professional boxing match in almost 20 years, losing a technical knockout to Kevin McBride in June 2005 after failing to answer the bell in round 7. Tyson returned for an exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020 and fought to a no-decision after going the full eight, two-minute rounds.

After his first loss to Tommy Fury in February 2023, Paul bounced back with four straight knockout wins. In his last appearance, Paul stopped BKFC star Mike Perry in the sixth round in July.
