Madison Street Festival: Artist Alley showcases the region's best artists and their creations

The Madison Street Festival takes place this Saturday, October 5th, from 9am to 4pm in downtown Madison. For more information, visit www.madisonstreetfestival.org.

MADISON – Artist Alley is a juried art event that celebrates and showcases some of the finest artists in the Tennessee Valley and surrounding areas. Stroll through an amazing exhibition of high-quality, award-winning original artwork. Take the time to talk to the artists and find the perfect piece of art for your home.

Artist Alley focuses primarily on the fine arts. Previous vendors have produced pottery, raku, photography, glass, woodworking, literature, drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and metalsmithing. The artist must create all exhibited works of art himself.

Doctors Without Borders will present the Joyce & Dennis Vaughn Best in Show, the Madison Street Festival Merit Award from the Madison Art Alliance and the Madison Street Festival Committee Award.

The Joyce & Dennis Vaughn Best in Show Award

This award, presented for the first time in 2023, was established in memory of Joyce Vaughn and in honor of Dennis Vaughn. Without the continued support of the Vaughn family, we would not be able to showcase our outstanding artists in such a beautiful setting each year. This award recognizes an artist's exceptional quality, craftsmanship, creativity and outstanding work in their chosen medium.

MSF Merit Award presented by the Madison Art Alliance Award

Presented for the first time in 2023 by the Madison Art Alliance. The Madison Arts Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and promoting the arts in Madison County by encouraging community engagement and developing opportunities for artistic expression. This award highlights the importance of supporting and nurturing the arts in our community. It is awarded to an artist to recognize the countless hours and dedication to their art form.

MSF Committee Award

The recipient of this award is selected by members of the Madison Street Festival Committee and recognizes an artist for their commitment and excellence in their chosen medium. This award is a significant honor as it reflects the collective opinion of the committee members who work year-round to organize and ensure the continued quality and success of the Madison Street Festival.
