Army 49-7 Tulsa (Oct. 5, 2024) Game Recap

TULSA, Okla. — Bryson Daily threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more scores, Kanye Udoh ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries on Saturday and Army beat Tulsa 49-7 for its ninth straight win to last season.

Army (5-0, 4-0 American Athletic Conference) is off to its best start since 1996 and entered the game tied with Missouri for the longest active winning streak in the country.

Bryson completed 5 of 5 passes for 140 yards and added another 110 yards on 13 carries. Noah Short had three receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns for the Black Knights.

Daily scored on a 4-yard run with about five minutes left in the first half to make the score 14-7, and Army led the rest of the way. About three minutes later, Bryson scored a short TD for a 58-yard touchdown, making it a two-touchdown game at halftime before Udoh had scoring runs of 63 and 68 yards, giving Bryson a 27-yard score in the third quarter. Added a yard touchdown run to make it 42-7 heading into the fourth.

Quarterback Cooper Legas led Tulsa (2-4, 0-2) with 81 yards rushing, including a 1-yard TD run late in the first quarter that made it 7-7.

Daily connected with Short for a 37-yard touchdown that opened the scoring for Army with 10:30 left in the first quarter, and Dewayne Coleman's 4-yard TD run midway through the fourth quarter provided it the 49:9.
