It's fight night in Salt Lake City with UFC 307 and the stakes couldn't be higher. In the co-main event, women's bantamweight world champion Raquel Pennington looks to defend her belt against former world champion Julianna Peña. After more than a decade in the UFC, “Rocky” finally claimed gold in January with a unanimous decision victory over Mayra Buena Silva at UFC 297. Peña returns after a 798-day layoff to reclaim her throne after losing the title to Amanda Nunes had lost July 2022.

I just love this sport very much.

    The jury's decision is still pending, but Esparza finished strong on top and rained down punches. Pennington's focused and aggressive attack would give her the victory and send Esparza into retirement.

    After a close round, Esparza and Pennington exchange big balls in the final minute of the second round! The third round could be the decision.

    Pennington's aggressiveness paid off early and she landed several strong shots on Esparza right in front of the goal. Esparza weathers the storm and ends up defeating them, controlling them in the final three minutes of the round, but only after taking some rough prodding from Pennington.
